Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving Preparation starts out with a trip to Austell, GA for AWESOME smoked turkeys . We were introduced to these turkeys by Jenny, my BIKRAM YOGA teacher. We will never go back to regular turkey. Alec and I drove to the Sausage Chalet to pick up our turkeys. We also went to a nice lunch together at J ALEXANDERS.


The kids helped set our Thanksgiving table by looking on YOUTUBE for instructions on how to fold napkins!


As our guests arrived Cushmans and Atwoods they were each given a number/team assignment as either a PILGRIM or an INDIAN then they were given a bag that corresponded with their number. In the bag was a TURKEY dress-up item, as you can see from the pictures... each item varied from eye patches to turkey goggles, turkey bonnets to flowering turkey hats and the grand prize pink turkey gloves worn by dad. All of these items had to be worn during dinner or your team would lose a point.




After we were stuffed from dinner we proceeded to the shooting range where we all took a shot at a turkey target. Brynn shot a 50!!! WAY TO GO BRYNN!!!!




Then it was on to Thanksgiving Trivia and Who's Grateful for that!! Needless to say there was MUCH laughter (to the point of many tears)!!

We then had a dessert bar and watched Get Smart!! We had a great time and are so glad our friends joined us!!! We love you and miss those that were not there!!! You know who you are!!!
