Summer Fun in Utah

The first stop we made was to see Grandma & Grandpa Orgill. We arrived on their 64th Wedding Anniversary... hence the flowers.

Grandpa has macular degeneration, the kids used his magnifying glass to take some cool pictures - but there is NOTHING cool about macular degeneration!!! I hate that my dad suffers from this... but he is doing his best to stay positive and active!! He turned 86 on August 13th!!

No trip to Utah would EVER be complete without a trip to Chuck-a-Rama (according to the kids... not me)!! We met up with Lyndsie and Johnny and had a great time!

We spent 4 nights in Kamas for the Josie Family Reunion!! Megan, Josh's wife, has a family cabin that her family let us use... it was AwEsOmE!! We had SO much fun!!! We fished, laughed, danced, practiced yoga, saw Harry Potter at the town theatre (which was very funny... the theatre that is)played games, roasted marshmallows, laughed, played with the cutest babies, we had a GREAT time!! We love being with FAMILY and miss them all so much!!!

FUN!!!

fUn!!!

and MORE fun!!!!

We then took Brynn to BYU cross country camp!! She met up with her best friend Marlee. They had a GREAT time!! She ran her bum off...and she didn't have a bum to begin with!!

We stayed at SUNDANCE the week Brynn was at camp (wish Brynn had been with us). We had an incredible time!! SUNDANCE is so AWESOME!!! Lyndsie, Johnny and Jack came up and we hiked Stewart Falls!! I loved this hike... we were with family and it was a beautiful sight to see the falls!! We then went to La Dolce Vita in Provo!! One of our all time favorites!!

We had never been to Timpanogas Cave so we hiked that lovely climb (oH mY GoSh!!) What made it even more fun was Jack... he said his back hurt, then he said he had a headache... we were literally dragging him up that steep incline!! To top it all off... I am claustrophobic and didn't want to go in the cave for the life of me!! The Park Ranger stood by my side and gave me his flashlight... and I made it through... I NEVER have to do that again!!
We had a great day biking the Provo trail!

We picked Brynn up from cross country camp and went to stay in Park City!! We stayed in a beautiful condo and had a great time...we were glad to be back together as a family!!

We missed seeing a lot of our friends because there is NEVER enough time!! We never spend as much time, with those we love, as we would like to!! and feel bad when we miss seeing those we love!! Hopefully next time...

We LOVE you family and we LOVE spending time in Utah!!!

4th of July Fun and Burn

Our friends, the Puzeys, invited us to their annual Cul-de-sac of Fire (quite comparable to Provo, Utah's Stadium of Fire I might add...)We had GREAT food, company, fun, fireworks... and then.... (read on)

One Road Leads To Another....

While we were watching fireworks one of them tipped over heading straight for Brynn... she was sitting on a lawn chair when the firework landed on her foot... she has quite the burn!!! She says its the worst pain she's ever felt!! We tried to make her feel better by telling her she was a HERO and saved Brother Puzey and Brother Dibble's life!! Had she not been the one to intercept the blazing firework... it could have demolished Bro. Puzey & Bro. Dibble... hence her HERO status!!

The Puzey's neighbor is a pediatrician... it was AWESOME having her help and reassurance!! Brynn will be fine... but it did lead to a memorable 4th!!!

Just Don't Start Asking For a Purse

It's all fun... unless he pulls a "Chastity Bono" when he grows up!

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....

A Great Friday Night...

One of the blessings of my BIKRAM yoga practice is the friendships I have made... Meena is one of those friends! We have been benefactors of one of her talents... Indian food... She and her daughter, Renjani, came over Friday night. We sat for hours learning about life in India, having great conversation, laughing and eating YUMMY Indian food!!

He Rocks!!

On our craft day we made Mark these FATHER'S DAY gifts!! How did we all get SO lucky?? He's is a great father and husband!! WE LOVE YOU MARK!!!!

BoMbArDeD!!!

So... I don't post often but when I do... watch out!! There are about 10 new posts!!

Girls Camp

I was not able to go to Girls Camp with Brynn this year... she had a TON of fun (as usual)!! We have a GREAT ward with AWESOME youth!!! We feel TOTALLY blessed to be in this ward!!

15 years since one of the BEST days in my life!!!

For Brynn's birthday we went shopping and she chose all of her favorite things for dinner that night!! I LOVE YOU Brynn!!! You are a GREAT girl!!!

The Josie Learning Institute

The Cranky Dancer

Brooke had to perform in two dance recitals this year... which would make anybody cranky because they last 3-4 hours each!! This picture is after her first dance recital... this girl does not hide how she feels...

In between the recitals we went out to eat and then to the mall... Brooke perked up after eating (as demonstrated by her mall photos). The mall was a photo opportunity rather than a shopping opportunity (much to Brynn's dismay)!

Swim Team

For the past 7 years we've participated in our neighborhood swim team... we have swim meets every Thursday night, with other neighborhoods!!! It's a lot of WORK and TIME!! But it's also a lot of FUN!!!

Memorial Weekend Fun

We had the Puzeys over for a Memorial eve bar-b-q!! We have a GrEaT time with their family!!!

Last Day of School

Brooke graduated from the 5th grade and will be in middle school next year...I feel like I'm in a time warp!!! Time goes TOO fast!! Alec was not home from school yet so he didn't get in the picture... sorry Alec!!

CREATIVE with a capital "C"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brooke's 5th grade class had MARKET DAY, this week. She had to create something that she could sell to members of the 5th grade. She asked me to buy her some clay and the rest is history...

el escorpión

This story gives me BIG goosebumps...Saturday as we were getting ready for the 5k, Jack put his shoes on and felt something funny in one of them. He came into my bathroom took his shoe off and pounded it on the floor to get whatever was in his shoe...out! To our AWFUL surprise the thing in his shoe happened to be a SCORPION!!!

Most of the poisonous species are not in the United States and if he had been bit it would have likely had the effect of a "bee sting"... all this courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorpion
BUT STILL!!!!!!!!!

Proud Piano Parents

The kids just finished up their 2009 piano recital. We are so proud of them!! They are awesome kids and we LOVE them MORE than they will ever know!!! Jack just started piano in January so he won't participate in the recital until next year...
